Discover the power of abundance with Young Living’s Blend of the Month challenge. Following our focus on gratitude, this month we explore how shifting from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset can transform your goals, relationships, and well-being. Learn how Gary and Mary Young used Abundance™ blend and how you can apply it in your own practice to put an abundance mindset into action.
At Young Living, we believe in the power of alignment—of heart, mind, and purpose. When those pieces come together, transformation happens. Our Blend of the Month series is designed to help you focus your intention, connect with community, and use essential oils as anchors in your daily practices.
For August and September, we explored gratitude. Research shows that living with gratitude improves mental well-being and supports physical health, and when paired with essential oils, the practice becomes even more powerful. As Gary Young taught, gratitude for what we have creates space for receiving more. This is why October and November’s focus naturally shifts to abundance.
Why abundance matters
Abundance is the opposite of scarcity. A scarcity mindset keeps us fixated on what we don’t have—time, money, opportunities, or love. This mindset drains energy, limits creativity, and makes it difficult to plan or grow. An abundance mindset, on the other hand, is expansive. It fosters generosity, strengthens relationships, and allows us to see possibilities instead of limitations.
Our Abundance™ essential oil blend was formulated with this in mind. A unique combination of carefully selected oils, it serves as a sensory reminder to shift your focus from what you lack to the opportunities already around you.
A legacy of possibility
Gary and Mary Young used Abundance™ blend often as they built Young Living. In slow sales seasons, they applied it everywhere—on their wrists, in the office paint, even sprinkled on their keyboards. For them, Abundance™ was more than an oil blend; it was a symbol of possibility. But they also believed energy must be matched with action. Using the blend was always paired with hard work and a clear focus on growth.
How to embrace an abundance mindset
Like all of our blends, Abundance is meant to be paired with intention. Here are a few simple ways to put an abundance mindset into practice:
Shift your thoughts
Replace scarcity thoughts with abundant ones. Instead of “I don’t have enough,” try “I have everything I need to take the next step.”
Take small actions
Look for daily opportunities that align with your goals. Make that phone call, start the project, or reach out to a new connection.
Practice generosity
Abundance is about giving as much as receiving. Offer encouragement, share knowledge, or volunteer your time—you’ll be surprised how it circles back.
Celebrate wins, big or small
Notice and appreciate each step forward. Acknowledging progress keeps your focus on growth rather than limitation.
Create a daily ritual
Make abundance part of your everyday routine. Apply Abundance™ blend, speak your intention, then reapply to anchor that intention to the aroma. Each time you use the blend, you’ll be reminded of the intention you set.
For even deeper alignment, layer Gratitude™ blend before Abundance™ blend. This practice acknowledges what you already have while opening space to receive more. And if you don’t have Abundance™ on hand, you can use one of its single-oil components—Orange, Frankincense, Myrrh, or Black Spruce—with the same mindful intention.
Remember, abundance looks different for everyone. For some, it may mean financial freedom; for others, it may be love, friendship, creativity, or compassion. The important thing is to define what abundance means for you right now—and then align your energy, actions, and intention toward it.
Together, one drop at a time and one intention at a time, we can create more possibility in our lives and in the world. Let’s grow in gratitude, step into abundance, and keep changing lives—starting with our own.
